A Texas man accused of fatally shooting his El Campo girlfriend and her two sons will return to Wharton County in the next few months to respond to criminal charges in court.

Demond Bluntson, 36, will be returned to Wharton for an indictment concerning the death of 28-year-old Brandy Cerny, said Ross Kurtz, first assistant to the district attorney in Wharton County.

Bluntson could face 15 to 99 years or life in prison if he is convicted of murder in Wharton County, Kurtz said.

Bluntson is accused of killing the two boys in a Laredo hotel, and prosecutors there are seeking the death penalty in that crime.

A Webb County grand jury indicted Bluntson on two capital murder counts Wednesday in the deaths of his 1-year-old son, Davian, and Davian's 6-year-old brother, Jayden Thompson.

Police say Bluntson shot both boys in a Laredo hotel room June 19 after police arrived. Cerny's body was found with multiple gunshot wounds hours later in El Campo.
