Spaces are still open for area businesses to take part in Victoria College's 2013 Career Fair on April 23-24.

The Career Fair attracts a diverse group of some 4,200 students pursuing careers in public service, business and technology, health professions and industrial trades, among others.

At the event, businesses will have access to face-to-face opportunities to recruit qualified, active job-seekers. The Victoria public and surrounding communities are invited to attend as well.

"Victoria College students are eager for the chance to explore various careers and learn more about the participating organizations," said Lisa Elsik, academic adviser with VC's Advising & Counseling Services.

Among the area businesses and organizations already signed up to participate are Gulf Bend Center, CASA, Office of the Attorney General of Texas-Child Support Division, DE Web Works, Formosa Plastics Corporation, City of Victoria, Victoria Advocate, United Rentals, Senior Helpers and Devereux, with more businesses registering each day.
