Riverside Park is Victoria's version of Central Park, and it is a busy place.
The park was voted by Advocate readers the best park in the Crossroads. When you look at the amenities and vastness of the park, it's easy to see why.
The park offers a golf course, walking trail, disc golf course, the Texas Zoo and privately owned restaurant The PumpHouse - now catch your breath - a children's park, a lake with ducks, kayaking on the Guadalupe River, the Rose Garden, baseball stadium and the Horseman's Arena.
Just about anything outdoors you can think of to do, Riverside has, so it's no wonder it's so popular, said Doug Cochran, former Victoria Parks and Recreation director.
"We're always looking for improvements, and we're always looking to hear from the public," Cochran said.
