A Victoria woman and her four children were transported Sunday to Citizens Medical Center after a two-vehicle wreck in the 3000 block of John Stockbauer Drive and Baltimore Avenue.

Victoria Police Sgt. Adam Rodriguez said Donald Ellis, 78, was driving a 2008 Chrysler 300 on Baltimore Avenue at 1:45 p.m. when he turned on John Stockbauer Drive. When he failed to yield, his vehicle struck the front end of 32-year-old Tammy Smith's 1997 Mazda Protege, the officer said.

Smith was transporting her four daughters, ranging in ages from 7-13 years old.

All five passengers in the Protege were transported to Citizens, and Smith was later transported to University Hospital in San Antonio.

Hospital officials would not release Smith's condition Sunday night.

Rodriguez said no citations had been issued.
