A 93-year-old man involved in a one-vehicle rollover was listed in stable condition Thursday afternoon, hospital officials said.

Eugenio Garcia, of Lamesa, was traveling southwest on Venglar Road in Inez when he ran off the right side of the road and started to lose traction about 5 p.m. Wednesday, Senior Trooper Gerald Bryant, a Department of Public Safety spokesman, said Thursday.

Garcia overcorrected, came to the left side of the road, then back to the right side of the road, where he went into a side skid.

Garcia's vehicle, a 1994 Chevrolet pickup, rolled once and came to rest on its tires, Bryant said.

Garcia was taken to Citizens Medical Center in Victoria.
