Veronica Buchhorn and Dave Gajer, both of Victoria, were married at 3 pm on April 20, 2013 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Victoria. Pastor Barney Matocha officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Arlen and Wanda Buchhorn of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of Carrie Mae Buchhorn and the late Weldon Buchhorn, Sr. of Lindenau, Emil Frysak, Sr. and the late Annie Frysak of Victoria and the late Henry Otto, Jr.
The groom is the son of David and Debora Gajer of Goliad. He is the grandson of Donald and Barbara Gajer of Nursery, Clifford and Shirley Startz of Victoria and the late John Heller.
Michelle Tomanec, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather McBride and Wendi Ray, friends of the bride. Cadence Tomanec, niece of the bride, attended as flower girl.
Kyle Frnka, friend of the groom, attended as bestman. Groomsmen were Darren Weiser and Tye Ray, friends of the groom. Landon Logan, cousin of the groom, attended as ring bearer.
Ushers were Kenneth Buchhorn and Henry Buchhorn, brothers of the bride, and A.J. Logan and Kyle Logan, cousins of the groom.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Inez Community Center. The couple will honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas and will reside in Victoria.
Tyler Buchhorn, cousin of the bride, served as acolyte. Bell ringers were Richard Appelt and Godfred Berger, Jr., friends of the bride. Lay readers were Donna Appelt and Diana Tuch, friends of the bride. Leah Matocha attended as organist.
The bride wore her great-grandmother's slip that was originally worn when she was married in 1910. The slip has also been worn by her grandmother, mother and many cousins at their weddings.
Veronica is a 2006 graduate of Memorial High School, attended Victoria College, and a 2010 graduate of Texas Vocational Schools with a certificate in Accounting.
Dave is a 2003 graduate of Goliad High School, and a 2004 graduate of Universal Technical Institute with a Diesel/Industrial degree. He is currently employed as a Diesel Mechanic at M.W. Rentals and Services, Inc.
