Two Victoria residents were in jail Monday night after they reportedly stabbed a man.

Jessica Orellana, 26, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence. Johnny Eakin, 49, meanwhile, faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, said Sgt. Eline Moya, a Victoria Police Department spokeswoman.

The victim, Robert Longoria, 47, was stabbed several times during what officials described as a domestic disturbance in the 2800 block of Mitchell Street about 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

Longoria was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, and Moya said he survived the attack.

Both Citizens Medical Center and DeTar Hospital Navarro did not have information regarding his condition.

Longoria and Orellana were dating, Moya said.

Police found Orellana and Eakin at 10:45 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North Depot Street after they fled the scene in what has been described as a red sport utility vehicle.

Moya did not know what kind of weapon was used in the crime or whether it was recovered from the suspects' vehicle.

She said the case is ongoing, and Detective James Brewer of the assault crimes unit is investigating.
