Post Acute Medical, which operates Warm Springs Specialty Hospital, is acquiring five additional facilities.
On Monday, the company announced an agreement with Vibra Healthcare to operate five long-term acute care hospitals that include Kindred Healthcare.
Warm Springs in Victoria is a subsidiary of Post Acute Medical.
Adding these five long-term acute care hospitals will increase Post Acute Medical's licensed bed count to 698. The company has four inpatient rehabilitation facilities, 11 long-term acute care hospitals and one brain injury facility.
"We are pleased with the growth of Post Acute Medical and look forward to the addition of the five Kindred hospitals in the near future," said Tony Misitano, Post Acute Medical president and chief executive officer. "Along with Vibra, we selected the locations based on how they fit into our targeted markets and select growth areas."
Post Acute Medical also operates two outpatient rehabilitation clinics. Four additional inpatient rehabilitation facilities are under construction.
