Pope Francis granted the Victoria Diocese 18 new members to be Knights of the Papal Order of Saint Gregory the Great. They were installed at a Tuesday evening prayer and investiture ceremony by the Most Rev. David E. Fellhauer, bishop of the Victoria Diocese. The papal award was instituted Sept. 1, 1831, and is bestowed on individuals who serve the Catholic Church or who have distinguished themselves by their accomplishments in their communities.
