Victoria firefighters prepare to transport a man to DeTar Hospital Navarro after a crash at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday near Navarro and Rio Grande streets. A 45-year-old Victoria woman also was arrested after the crash on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Her vehicle, a Nissan Pathfinder, rear-ended the man's vehicle, a Ford Escape, while both were northbound in the 1100 block of North Navarro Street, said Sgt. Jeff Strauss of the Victoria Police Department. The man was thought to have non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was taken to Citizens Medical Center for a blood alcohol test, Strauss said.
