Industrial school district met the standards of achievement when the Texas Education Agency released its accountability summaries.
Industrial Elementary East earned the district's only distinction award in reading and English language arts, as well as earning high marks in student achievement.
Across all schools, scores exceeded the state minimum in student achievement. High school students received high marks for post-secondary readiness, a measurement of the students' preparedness for college.
Industrial Superintendent Tony William was content with the scores, he said.
"We are very proud of our students and teachers for their accomplishments last year. We are pleased with our ratings. Our leadership team is working hard to prepare for the challenges ahead. But we will take a little time to celebrate, too," he said.
