For farmers, ranchers, conservationists and others interested in improving private land in Victoria County, an upcoming meeting will offer some insight.
The Victoria County United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Victoria Soil and Water Conservation District will host its 2013 Local Working Group meeting Thursday, according to a conservation service news release.
The annual event is from 1:30 to 3 p.m. inside First Victoria National Bank's Town Hall Meeting Room, 101 S. Main St.
The goal is to set local conservation priorities and bring stakeholders together to discuss conservation topics and issues relevant to helping Victoria County farmers and ranchers better conserve on-farm natural resources.
Attendees will get an update on recent conservation efforts and can offer their input to help guide future conservation activities.
Through regular identification of conservation opportunities, effective Farm Bill investment can continue to benefit Victoria County.
