Cuero man, 20, arrested on drug-related charges

A 20-year-old Cuero man was arrested Thursday at a residence in the 600 block of East Live Oak Street on warrants for delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, according to a news release from the DeWitt County Sheriff's Office.
Aaron Valenzuela is being held in the DeWitt County jail in lieu of a $15,000 bond for delivery of a controlled substance of less than 4 ounces and delivery of a controlled substance, both in a drug-free zone, according to the news release.
While executing the search warrant, deputies discovered cash believed to be derived from the sale of narcotics and 440 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana as well as a lesser amount of marijuana.
Officials are expecting additional charges after lab results return, according to the news release.
