Two adults and two children were transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro after the two-vehicle wreck on Farm-to-Market Road 236 Tuesday night.
The wreck happened just before 8 p.m. Tuesday at Post Oak Drive. A 2012 Nissan Infiniti traveling north on FM 236, and the Chevy traveling south collided after the driver of the Chevy crossed the center line attempting to pass another vehicle in a no passing zone, Department of Public Safety Trooper Jeremiah Collins said. After swerving to avoid one another, the vehicles collided on their passenger sides, he said.
The pickup then spun off of the roadway and into a tree. One adult female and two kids, 9 and 10, were in the Infiniti, and one man was in the Chevy.
All were listed in stable condition, and the driver of the Chevy will be issued a citation for passing in a no passing area, Collins said. The names were not available.
