Whitney Lee Kusak and Randy Ellis Boone, both of Yoakum, were married at 6PM on November 30, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum. Reverend Jonathan Mielke officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Glen and Sherri Kusak, of Yoakum. She is the granddaughter of Edwin Kusak and the late Lillie Kusak, of Shiner, and the late Jim and Saralyn Pietsch, of Yoakum.

The groom is the son of Dwayne and Annette Boone, of Hope. He is the grandson of the late JT "Jack" and Josephine Boone, of Hope, and the late John and Lucy Henke, of Hallettsville.

Kristi Ward, of San Marcos, attended as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kaci Boone of Yoakum, Brooke Jemelka of Houston, Megan Griffin of Gober, Jenna Watson of Mount Pleasant, Samantha Andrews of Houston, Deidra Froebel of Yoakum, and Brittney Morris of Victoria. Lillie Beth Kusak of Houston and Emersyn Kusak of Gonzales attended as flower girls.

Dale Freytag of Driftwood served as best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Kusak of Yoakum, Kyle McCulloch of Austin, Kyle Yates of Austin, Joseph Krebs of Bridgeport, Clay Van Hook of Houston, Todd Gilfillan of Austin, and Aaron Ward of San Marcos.

Ushers were Jonathan Andrews of Nashville, Tennessee, Barry Boening of Houston, B.J. Boening of Houston, and Drew Stubbs of Austin. Bowen Froebel of Yoakum served as ring bearer.

A reception was held following the ceremony at Yoakum Community Center. The couple will spend their honeymoon at Sandals in Grand Exuma, Bahamas. They will reside in Yoakum until they travel to Dunedin, Florida for spring training.

The bride graduated from Yoakum High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M University in 2008. Whitney went on to obtain a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2012 and is currently employed as a Physical Therapist.

The groom graduated from Yoakum High School and completed a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the University of Texas in 2009. Randy pitched for the Longhorn Baseball team and contributed to the 2005 National Championship. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2007 and remains in the Blue Jay organization having spent the past few years at the AA and AAA levels.
