As Billie Garcia, 22, of Victoria, put her 5-month-old daughter in her 2009 Toyota Highlander on Sunday morning, she discovered the driver's side rearmost window was shattered.

"When I shut the car door, I heard glass fall," Garcia said. "Pieces of the glass were falling out of my window."

Upon closer inspection, she found a small BB gunshot hole in the window, Garcia said. Her SUV was parked on N. George St., she said.

Garcia's incident was not isolated, as the Victoria Police Department received six reports of broken vehicle windows this past weekend, Sgt. Eline Moya of the Victoria Police Department said.

The vehicle damage, totaling more than $900, happened between 6 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday, Moya said. There are no leads at this time, she added.

Garcia said she was quoted $210 for the repair of her window by a local auto body shop.

"If they don't find out who did it, they're going to do it again and expect not to get caught," she said.
