Last week, Lindsay Adams, registered and licensed dietitian, gave some tips on holiday baking and cooking substitutions to reduce your calorie, fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar intake.

Did you know that cutting out 100 calories a day will lead to a 10-pound weight loss in one year? Most of the time, successful and long-term weight loss is achieved by a lot of small changes to eating habits, not one fad diet.

Since we are all in the holiday spirit now, here is a modified recipe of the beloved pumpkin roll. I have taste tested this recipe and the original on some very willing participants, and honestly, they could not tell which one was the healthier version. Try this modified recipe this season and cut 135 calories. You can even test this recipe on your family and friends - it can be our little secret.
