No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday about 6:30 p.m. on Main Street at Mockingbird Lane, but one man was arrested, said Officer Rick Soto, of the Victoria Police Department.
David Silva, 49, of Dripping Spring, said he was traveling north on Main Street in a Dodge pickup when he noticed a silver Hyundai traveling south in his lane.
Silva said he tried to swerve his truck out of the path of the car, but it struck the bed of his pickup, knocking his truck off its axle and crushing the front of the car.
The driver of the Hyundai was charged with driving while intoxicated, Soto said.
Information about the driver arrested was not available as of 10 p.m. Friday.
"It was my first time to be in a wreck, and I am still shaking," Silva said, amazed no one was injured.
Silva said the Hyundai was traveling between 70 and 80 mph, but Soto said the wreck is under investigation and the speed of the vehicles were not confirmed.
