HOUSTON - Flatonia graduate Dallas Ponder, a member of the Victoria Generals last summer, pitched six innings of two-hit ball to lead Texas A&M-Kingsville to a 4-1 win over No. 4 Central Missouri on the opening day of the Astros Division II Invitational at Minute Maid Park.

Ponder struck out seven and walked two before being relieved by Matt Rhodes and Memorial graduate Jeremy Flores, who struck out the side in the ninth to earn the save.
