Editor, the Advocate:

Question: What exactly is a muster? As in the Warrior's Weekend Muster, which is happening at our community center March 18. For some of us, who were not in the military, the word is confusing.

Webster's Dictionary states "muster" means to assemble (troops, ship's crew, etc.), to gather, to summon, to come together. And this is what the Warrior's Weekend Muster is all about - to come together for a cause - which is raising funds to bring our wounded heroes from across the entire country to our own backyards. To bring them here for our Warrior's Weekend in May. Freedom is not free!

Join in. Go online and see what is happening. Read about the various events presented that evening. Then, be sure you are ready to muster for our boys. Call 361-572-0001 for more information or go online to warriorsweekend.org.

Thank you.
