Police have yet to find the Ganado man charged with murder in the death of Fred Castillo Anzaldua.

Robert Garcia Perez, 31, was charged with murder, manslaughter and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in a warrant issued Thursday by Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Darren Stancik, said Jackson County Sheriff A.J. "Andy" Louderback.

"We have reason to believe that he has fled under the belief that a warrant would be issued for his arrest, and we are searching for him," said sheriff's office Investigator Gary Smejkal.

Anzaldua was found dead Feb. 3 lying in the front yard of a white home in the 200 block of Farm-to-Market Road 1683. Anzaldua suffered blunt force trauma to the head, Louderback said.

Louderback said they do not know what the motive was but said there appears to have been an altercation between the two men.
