Town Talk: Hallettsville graduate receives 2 bachelor degrees from TAMU

Clayton Charles Leopold graduated from Texas A&M Galveston on May 12. He received two bachelor of science degrees, one in marine biology and the other in marine fisheries. Leopold is the first recorded student to receive two degrees from Texas A&M Galveston within a four-year period. He has started working for RPS Energy Company as a protected species observer, mainly looking for whales, dolphins, turtles and manatees.

Leopold is a 2008 graduate of Hallettsville High School. He is the son of Charlie and Sharon Leopold, of Hallettsville, and the grandson of Leroy and Donna Leopold and the late Oretha McCord, of Hallettsville, and Jim and Gail McCord, of Inez.
