Salute: Memorial High grade commissioned as first lieutenant

1st Lt. Amanda Skylar Streetman joined the U. S. Air Force in October and completed Commissioned Officer Training at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala., in November. She was commissioned as a first lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. Streetman was assigned to Schriever Air Force Base near Colorado Springs, Colo.
In February, she returned to Maxwell Air Force Base, where she is spending eight weeks in JAG training. She anticipates graduating from JAG school in April and will be promoted to the rank of captain and return to Schriever Air Force Base.
Streetman graduated from Memorial High School in 2002, from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2006 and from South Texas School of Law in May 2010. She is the daughter of John and Cathy Streetman, of Victoria.
