The community and development director for Goliad, Bridgette Bise, announced her resignation Wednesday.
Bise, former executive director of the Victoria Convention and Visitors Bureau, was placed on a 90-day performance improvement plan by the Goliad City Council on Nov. 20, said interim City Administrator Larry Zermeno.
"She was placed on a performance improve plan and I thought it was going well. Ms. Bise has been professional in all her dealings with us, with me," Zermeno said.
He said her resignation is effective Jan. 16.
Zermeno said they will probably begin the search for a new director, pending discussion with city council.
Bise was unavailable for comment Wednesday.
She began work in Goliad in February.
