There are four words - that if asked to a woman - can conjure up butterflies and give her the shakes.

What will I wear?

Both engagement parties and weddings are special occasions that call for dressing up or down, depending on the setting.

The Palm Tree Boutique General Manager Marcie Butschek describes the style at the Victoria store as fashion forward and fitting for women of all ages.

"We strive to find out what they want to wear and figure out individual style and tastes," she said.

The store has a wide range of dresses, blouses, jackets and jeans for any occasion. The setting will often dictate what kind of outfit to wear to which occasion, she said.

Living in South Texas means engagement parties might take place in someone's home and the wedding may be outdoors or at a nearby beach. Some might be casual enough for boots with fringe or heels with sparkling jewels.

"Hopefully, you know where the venue is," Butschek explained. "You need to be aware of the details to dress appropriately."

Jewelry is something that can easily be added to an outfit to make it more formal. A strand of pearls is a classic, timeless piece she says every woman should own. The store has display cases that show off all kinds of jewelry, from chains to beads for charm bracelets.

Butschek has been with The Palm Tree Boutique for two years and enjoys being a part of the fashion business.

"It's been amazing to watch styles change, and, in the end, it's all about feeling pretty."
