A 56-year-old Victoria man was taken to Citizens Medical Center for minor injuries after a one-vehicle rollover at 6:25 p.m. Monday.

Timothy Murray was traveling west in the 500 block of Briggs Boulevard when he lost control of his 2004 GMC Yukon and rolled it multiple times, Victoria Police Sgt. Adam Rodriguez said.

"He does claim a deer ran out in front of him," Rodriguez said. "Whatever evasive action he took caused him to roll his vehicle."

Rodriguez said an investigation is ongoing, and no citations have been issued.

Murray was being evaluated in the emergency room at 10:15 p.m. Monday.
