Victoria's first Twister Competition Fundraiser planned

Victoria's first Twister Competition is set to take place at 11 a.m. Feb. 9 at the Victoria Mall, 7800 N. Navarro St. This event is hosted by People to People Student Ambassador, Hunter Dollery and the Victoria Mall manager, Rosanna Shoemake. All proceeds will benefit the Victoria Food Bank and P2P Student Ambassadors.
The event starts at 11 a.m. with a "Battle of the Media" competition. The age groups are from K-second grade, third-fifth grade, sixth-eighth grade, ninth-12th grade and adults. A champion will be named in each age division.
Pre-registration will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2, from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 3, as well as the morning of the event from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Victoria Mall in front of the Cookie Co. area. Registration fees are $5 per person or $3 with three nonperishable food items.
