1. What made you decide to serve the district? Why do you serve now?
I was asked to serve by many of the members in the community, and I was excited to do so because I have always been a strong advocate for public schools. I have continuously worked with public schools in the community in which I have lived, and I enjoy working with the development of children's lives tremendously. I have a strong desire to see all children receive a quality education.
2. What is your most memorable time as a board member? Why was it so memorable?
The hiring of a new superintendent. I knew the hiring of a superintendent meant that I would help play a vital role in setting the direction for the district's schools by selecting the right person to put in place who can establish an effective and efficient structure for the school district. Having a leader that would maintain an organizational structure that supports the district's vision empowers the professional staff.
