St. Joseph girls get first district win

SAN MARCOS - St. Joseph notched its first win in district play Tuesday night with a 60-38 victory over San Marcos Baptist.

Kensey Marshall led the way for the Lady Flyers with 21 points, including four three-pointers. Chloe Shoemake added 15 points of her own. Iris Young added nine points of her own and Paige Terrell had six with one three-pointer.

St. Joseph never had much trouble with San Marcos, building a 28-15 lead at halftime before cruising to a 22-point victory.

The Lady Flyers improved to 17-9 overall and 1-2 in district play.
