A 64-year-old Victoria man was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography.

Joseph Fellhauer, who pleaded guilty on Oct. 29, was also sentenced to lifetime supervised release.

His attorney, Francisco Morales, declined to comment about the case.

Computer forensic experts found more than 12,000 images and 350 videos of child pornography on Fellhauer's media devices after Homeland Security Investigations and Corpus Christi Police officers jointly searched his home in April 2011, according to a news release from the U.S. attorney's office.

He initially caught the agencies' attention when an undercover agent downloaded several images of child pornography that was later linked to Fellhauer in October 2010, according to the news release.

Fellhauer, who at the time of the search lived alone and away from children, admitted to acquiring and having an interest in child pornography for more than 15 years.

He will also be ordered to register as a sex offender.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lance Duke.
