After a one-year absence, steers return to the Nordheim FFA Stock Show on Saturday at the Nordheim School show barn, 500 N. Broadway St.
Students will show three steers, 21 goats, 10 lambs and 10 hogs, said Joyce Ann Warwas, one of the event's organizers.
Goats were part of the show for the first time in 2012, and this year's entries are up by seven. Hogs and lambs entries are down but only slightly.
The show animal judging begins at 10 a.m., with a premium auction at 2 p.m.
The art, food and craft show will be open to the public for viewing and sale at noon in the hallway of the main school building.
The grand champion food and crafts and blue ribbon items will also be auctioned.
The Nordheim PTA will sponsor a concession stand. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Michael Leister Scholarship Fund.
From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Nordheim board of trustees is sponsoring a beef stew fundraiser for the Vance Frosch Memorial Scholarship Fund in the school cafeteria.
Donations for the Nordheim FFA Fundraisers can be left at the Wells Fargo Bank or Sparky's in Nordheim.
