Victoria College, Huvar's announce spring Lunch & Learn topics

Want to learn how to be more polite in the office? Need some help dealing with customers calling you at work?

Could you use some ideas on that technical report?

If the answer is "yes," then Victoria College and Huvar's Artisan Market can help.

The two have partnered to offer the next Lunch & Learn series for those wishing to improve their office and interpersonal skills.

The programs are free, but participants will be responsible for their own lunch expense.

Business Etiquette kicks off the spring series from noon-1 p.m. March 6 offering helpful tips on business etiquette and those important do's and don'ts for every business setting.

Participants will learn about creating powerful first impressions, maintaining business relationships, communication etiquette, digital etiquette, business-dining etiquette, cross-cultural etiquette and tips to holding successful meetings.

The series continues April 10 with a customer service presentation. Attendees will learn how to evaluate their customers and how to use that data. Businesspeople will also learn how their customer service stacks up and how they can build sharper customer service policies. They can learn how to communicate, resolve complaints and foster winning customer service traits.

Technical writing is the final topic in the Lunch & Learn series and will be offered May 1. Ideas will be presented on how to properly address professional audiences and customers. These include appropriate writing strategies and techniques for professional papers, memos and other documents; integration of technical and scientific data into a document; and maintaining an effective, accurate and professional writing style.
