1. What made you decide to serve the district? Why do you serve now?

I wanted to have the opportunity to improve public education in Victoria.

I feel like education is the key to a more productive and successful life experience.

I believe we as a board have worked hard to make sure that we are improving public education in Victoria.

I believe with the hiring of Robert Jaklich and the hard work of our administrators, teachers and support personnel we will be able to achieve 612 miles of excellence in VISD.

2. What is your most memorable time as a board member? Why was it so memorable?

I have several memorable times as a board member, but the two most memorable were the openings of the new schools and the process of interviewing and hiring a new superintendent.

The opening of the schools represented a new beginning and a new opportunity for the district.

The process of hiring a new superintendent made me realize the devotion and care that the board and VISD staff were willing to give to make the best selection for VISD.
