Fighters young and old from around South Texas converged on Victoria on Saturday for the quarterly Texas Four Seasons Karate Tournament.
For more than 24 years, Ralph Jaschke has been running the tournament at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Victoria, one each season, four a year, bringing out martial artists as young as 5 and 6 and older. Fighters come from San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Beeville, as well as from Victoria and other place in South Texas.
This is his 97th time running the tournament. When October comes around, it will be the 100th tournament he has run in Victoria.
