Faster wireless speeds are now at area AT&T customers' fingertips.
AT&T's 4G LTE network is now available in Victoria, according to a company news release.
The updated service means faster speeds for customers who stream, download, upload and game, according to the release, and also makes available new LTE-compatible devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
Other benefits include a more efficient use of the spectrum, meaning more space to carry data and services and a faster response time when it comes to downloading pages.
"We continue to see demand for mobile Internet skyrocket, and our 4G LTE network in Victoria responds to what customers want from their mobile experience - more, faster, on the best devices," Dahna Hull, AT&T's vice president and general manager for South Texas, said.
Randy Vivian, president and CEO of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, said faster wireless service means good things for Victoria.
"From connecting business owners with customers to bringing greater opportunities to connect people with health care and education, wireless infrastructure and fast service is vital to Victoria's long-term prosperity and growth," he said.
