Public has let down mentally ill people

I would like to say something about how much this community cares about pleasure parks being kept up, fixing the walkways and taking care of many very important things for the benefit of the whole community. However, I see constant advertisements about these mistreated animals with the sad eyes and how they need love and care (not that I don't care) yet there is no equal time given to the mentally ill who have very many of the same problems like being forgotten and living in horrible conditions.
The community is apparently embarrassed by humans born with a mental illness through no fault of their own. It is very hard to feel for an animal knowing how neglected and mistreated the mentally ill humans are.
Doesn't the public need to see how horribly they have let down humans in their community? I guess we could go around and catch the mentally ill, put them in cages and take them, too? Oh, that's right, we have no place in this great community. Guess we could make the kennels larger! Just thinking.
