The Golden Gecko has whipped its tongue around another well-known comedian: Rob Schneider.

Tickets go on sale Thursday for Schneider's four shows, said owner Joey Sandoval. Schneider will perform two shows Aug. 16 and two Aug. 17.

So far this year, comedians Charlie Murphy, D.L. Hughley and Steve-O have stood on the stage of the Golden Gecko's second floor, telling jokes and stories that had guests ripping at the seams.

"This is one of our biggest shows," said Sandoval, 34. "As long as Victoria and the community keep supporting us, the level of entertainment will continue to rise."

Schneider, commonly known for his appearances in comedy movies alongside Adam Sandler and his work on "Saturday Night Live," will feature Jon Stringer as his special guest.

The venue has seating for about 250 guests in a comedy club fashion, where guests can sit at a table with friends and family and enjoy drinks during the show.

"There is not a bad seat in the house," Sandoval said. "Even if you're sitting in the back, you're still close."

In comparison to larger shows, the Golden Gecko keeps the number below 300 to keep guests comfortable, he said.

Tickets can be purchased online or at Golden Gecko, Bedbutlers, iBedzzz, Western Beverages and the Smartphone Treatment Center.
