Abortion supporters should look at pictures

Editor, the Advocate:

Recently, I watched Sen. Wendy Davis filibuster the pro-life bill in the Texas Senate. The crowd in the balcony was loudly cheering her and the abortion cause. Almost on automatic, I went online to sites featuring pictures of aborted babies. Scrolling the pictures, I saw a gallery of horrors. There were girl babies and boy babies - little babies and big babies - whole babies and babies in pieces. After awhile, I had to close my eyes. In my mind, I saw the crowd in the balcony cheering and the pictures of the aborted babies. Back and forth, I saw the cheering and the pictures. It was beyond my understanding.

At this point, I realized that everyone needs to scroll through these pictures of aborted babies. Any understanding must include this reality. To solve anything, we must begin with truth. If we are seekers of truth, we cannot be afraid to find it. We must not be afraid to look.
