Jimmie 'JJ' Walker to appear at Victoria Fine Arts Center for comedy show

Jimmie "JJ" Walker, the comedian and actor best known for coining the phrase "dyn-o-mite" in the '70s television show "Good Times," will hit the Victoria Fine Arts Center for a comedy show Aug. 24.
Larry Toliver, owner of TIG Productions, said he is excited to bring Walker to Victoria for the first time.
"The show is suitable for all ages. You can bring the entire family," Toliver said.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are available online through TIG Productions and at the VISD Fine Arts Center box office, 1002 Sam Houston Drive; ColorTyme, 4903 N. Navarro St. and Pure Fitness and Training, 311 E. Mockingbird Lane. Prices for tickets are $19 for the show.
People also have a chance to win tickets to the show by visiting the Victoria Advocate Facebook page and sharing the post about Jimmie Walker's comedy show with their friends between 8 a.m.-5 p.m Thursday.
The Advocate will draw a name from the list of people who share the post, and that person will win two tickets. The winner will be announced at 6 p.m. Thursday. For information about the contest, call 361-574-1224.
