Editor, the Advocate:
My husband and I have known the Missionary Catechists of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary for 38 years. Thanks to them, we have a strong Catholic foundation.
They provided many services at Our Lady of Sorrows and Santisima Trinidad. Their dedication to evangelization was a contribution that is still much needed in today's world. Bringing people into or back into our faith was always their goal.
They taught us it is our obligation, also, to get involved in ministries that would allow us to grow. As a result of their counsel and support, we have been involved in CCD, Family Catechesis (Catequesis Familiar), Tu, Yo Y Cristo and pre-baptismal classes.
Our parish is too large to do the above alone; we need spiritual leaders. They have always been ready to help, being just a phone call away. They listen, counsel, comfort and assure us of God's love. We are saddened by their departure.
