For almost two months, Trine Ramirez was at her 17-year-old son's side in a California hospital.

Tito Myers, the Victoria teen who battled a rare genetic disorder from birth, died July 26 of complications after surgery.

The visitation will begin at at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. A rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at Holy Family, under the direction of Grace Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Tito's family and friends are helping raise money to defray medical and funeral expenses. Tito's mother missed work, as did her fiance, Mick Moore, who owns his own business, Professional Cleaning Services.

"Mick lost income. We're trying to cover the funeral expenses, and the medical expenses have not even started coming in," said Tito's aunt, Sylvia Zapata. "The family is trying to get it together - we're doing what we can."
