Victoria woman chases man to Port Lavaca

A Victoria woman followed a man to Port Lavaca she said she caught burglarizing her home, reportedly pulled a gun on him, then chased him in her vehicle before police intervened.

Mario Delgado, 30, of Port Lavaca, was arrested and charged with evading after the incident, according to a Port Lavaca police report.

According to the report, police joined the pursuit on Lazy Lane after a call came in about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday that a woman in a Ford Contour was pointing a gun at a black Chevrolet Suburban.

Both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed through a residential area when police arrived.

The woman stopped her car, but Delgado continued another block before stopping, according to the report.

No gun was found, said Port Lavaca Police Officer Russell Richter.

Details of what led to the confrontation continue to be investigated.
