Thumbs-up to reporter J.R. Ortega for his wonderful article on Father Stan Deboe and his departure from Our Lady of Sorrows. Fr. Stan will be missed by so many. Also, thanks to Sonny Long for his great front-page D-Day article and interview with the World War II veteran. I also appreciated the writing he did over Memorial Day, recounting the story of the Lavaca County veteran. Thanks, Victoria Advocate.

Thumbs-up to the usually liberal New York Times, which has said this in its June 6 editorial on the phone tapping scandal:

"The administration has now lost all credibility on this issue. Mr. Obama is proving the truism that the executive branch will use any power it is given and very likely abuse it."

Thumbs-down to the American media.

The American media hasn't broken a single Obama scandal. The American media hasn't taken the lead on any of the four major Obama scandals. They're just playing follow the leader.

Roy, Victoria
