The search for a missing Goliad man has been scaled back.

Mesa Verde National Park released a statement Friday night that the search for Mitchell Dale Stehling, 51, would be limited in searchers because of a lack of new information, but it is still a rescue.

Stehling was last seen Sunday in Mesa Verde Park in Colorado.

The search will continue Saturday with a small team of rangers searching the areas where Stehling was last seen.

More than 50 people began searching for Stehling late Sunday. Up until Friday afternoon, 35 searchers and two dog teams continued to look for Stehling.

Stehling was traveling with his wife and parents when they stopped to visit the park in southwest Colorado.

Stehling's children arrived in Colorado on Wednesday evening, said daughter-in-law Melissa Stehling.

"Now, they are able to all be together as they endure this difficult time," she said. "We are just continuing to hope and pray he is found safe and sound."

Mitchell Stehling was last seen hiking toward Spruce Tree House.
