Laurie Marie Seals and David Herman Vogt, both of Victoria, were married at 4:00 p.m. on July 13, 2013 at Central Church of Christ in Victoria. Joe Crisp of Victoria officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of David and Janet Seals of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade and Margaret Seals and the late Mr. Henry Shumate and Mrs. Marie Shumate.

The groom is the son of David Lee Vogt of Brownsville and Carolyn Clark of Victoria. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Rose Vogt, and the late Mr. Lester Clark Sr. and Mrs. Adela Moeller.

Suzanne Elliot-Vogt, of Royse City, attended as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tammy Leos, of Garland, Amanda Vowell, of Katy, and Rebekah Garza, of Garland. Shiloh Seals, of Victoria, attended as flower girl.

David Seals Jr. served as best man. Groomsmen were David Webb, of Victoria, Kyler Hornstein, of Kyle, and Daniel Seals, of Garland. Michael Holt, of Garland, served as ring bearer.

Sarah Elliot, of Garland, attended as a guest book attendant. Readers were Lester Clark, of Schulenburg, and Carmen McGuire, of Victoria.

A reception was held at Club Westerner. The couple plans to honeymoon for a week in Cabo San Lucas and will reside in Victoria.

Laurie is a 1999 graduate from the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, a 2010 graduate from the University of Houston-Victoria with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a 2013 graduate from Texas A&M-Commerce with a School Librarian Certificate. She is employed by Victoria ISD as a school librarian at Hopkins Elementary.

David is a 1998 graduate of New Braunfels High. He is employed by Zachry Construction at Lyondellbassell as a painter/scaffold builder.
