Cougars land eight on all-district team

The Faith Academy boys basketball team placed eight players on the TAPPS District 6-2A All-District team.

Senior guards Geoffrey Graff and Jonathan Luck were selected to the first team.

Seniors Jacob Nunez, a guard/forward, and forward Corvay Pearson and junior post Eli Espindola were selected to the second team. Junior guard/forward Craig Hogan, sophomore guard Joe Rodriguez and senior guard Mario Garcia were given honorable mention honors.

Graff averaged 16.6 points during district play, including making 58 percent of his three-pointers and had a 2-to-1 assist to turnover ratio. He also averaged 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals during district action.

Luck averaged 10.6 points, 3.8 steals, 4.3 rebounds and 3 assists during the Cougars' district games.

Nunez averaged 10.1 rebounds per game during district play, while also scoring 9.9 points per game.

Espindola averaged 9.3 rebounds and 5.6 points per game.

Pearson averaged 7.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
