Editor, the Advocate:
Thank you to a hometown hero who took time out of her teaching schedule to arrange for our lost family dog to find safety until she could get out of her teaching job to return to looking for "Scooter's" home. Julie Janecka is a name that our family will embrace for a long time. She was dedicated to ensuring that our dog had a safe place to stay until she could get off work and find us. We have been smiling ever since and look forward to repaying the favor or seeking out an opportunity to pay it forward. She truly is an amazing and gracious person, and we are so lucky that she was the one who found our dog.
Thank you so much to all that played a part in our dog's safe return! I feel that our family lives in a community of greatness.
