A 78-year-old Port Lavaca man remained in a hospital Thursday, a day after a fatal crash claimed his wife.
Bobby McCarn was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Citizens Medical Center, said a hospital spokeswoman.
His wife, Barbara McCarn, 79, was killed about 3:45 p.m. in the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Salem Road and Zac Lentz Parkway, said Herschel Buck, traffic safety officer for the Victoria Police Department. Barbara McCarn, who was driving east on Salem Road, stopped at a stop sign, but then failed to yield to a southbound vehicle.
