No one was injured in a two-vehicle wreck involving a Victoria fire truck about 3:45 p.m. Thursday at John Stockbauer Drive and Miori Lane.

The fire truck, driven by firefighter John Stary, 44, was turning north onto John Stockbauer Drive from Miori Lane and was struck by a white Cadillac driven by Geraldine Range, of Victoria, said Victoria Police Officer Bryan Knief.

Range ran a red light, Knief said, and was found to be at fault. The fire truck was not on the way to a call.

Victoria Fire Chief Taner Drake said the fire engine, assigned to Fire Station 4, will be out of service until it has been repaired.

He did not know the cost of the repairs Thursday, but said they have backup trucks to use temporarily.
