Bronte Club holds meeting

The meeting of the Bronte Club of Victoria was called to order by Jamie McMahon, president, at 3 p.m. March 6 at the Victoria Women's Clubhouse.
The Bronte Club members were lead in the Club Collect and pledges of allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and the Texas Flag by Martha Hamel.
The minutes from the Feb. 20 meeting were corrected and approved.
Program committee chair Sue Prudhomme reminded members to sign up for the April 3 Bronte field trip to LaGrange. All Bronte Club members are welcome to attend and bring a guest.
Bronte member Marci Goforth introduced the guest speaker, Steve Roth, CEO of Roth Construction and Guinea-Roth Construction. Roth gave a comprehensive program titled "Perspectives on Building in Africa." While he spoke of the special accommodations required to build in a third world country, his son, Casey, showed slides of some of the building being done as well as the wildlife and flora of the region.
The meeting was adjourned for the tea hour presented by Elizabeth Rogers, Charla Borchers Leon, Martha Tarkington, Cindy Schmidt and Susan Whitehouse.
